In short: Very rough race but great value/well organised In full: A very well organised race and great value considering transport was provided to the start of the race. A very tough race, not just the initial 6 miles but also the variety of terrain and the undulating bits towards the finish!
I didn't enjoy the race at the time because it was so tough. But now the pain has subsided and upon reflection it was a real challenge to finish and I want to do this again and do even better next year!
Overall fantastic value considering we had a technical t-shirt in the goody bag, all the chocolate i could stuff in my face plus free tea and sandwiches at the finish! The showers could have been a little warmer though ;-)
Well done to all who took part and a big thank you to the organisers. Date of review: August 31, 2012

In short: Tough, oh yes, but so so rewarding. In full: Excellent organisation, smooth and scenic free coach journey from finish to start in Brecon. Very friendly organisers, with lots of experienced runners freely giving advice about the course. Tough climb to 6 miles, views stunning, worth entry fee alone. Lots of speedy downhill sections from the mountain top. Very welcoming finish in the castle grounds, with tea n sandwiches a welcome treat. Travelled over 400 mile round trip for this, well worth it and we will be back! Many thanks for a wonderful race day experience. Date of review: August 26, 2012
