In full: This was my first 10km race and I loved it! Great venue, excellent organisation, lovely refreshments at the end, fabulous atmosphere and importantly, great transport links.

In short: Some teething problems...
In full: Negatives
- Long queues for the bag drop.
- Timing pens didn't work as well as they could.
- Very crowded for first couple of kms especially through the zoo and where the footpaths are narrow in the park, so some 'off-roading' required.
- Minimal support once you get outside the zoo.

Positives
- Zoo entry fee included in the race fee.
- Very flat course, so good potential for a PB.
- Plenty of room at the zoo car park to avoid last minute rushing/panicking.

Overall an enjoyable race, but a lot of time lost on the first section. Perhaps next year they can release a few waves of people just to space it out a bit more at the start (even though it was only 800 people). Nice to warm down by walking round the zoo afterwards though. Would probably do it again, but more because I have a 2 year old who loves going to the zoo rather than for the run itself.

In short: Good flat race. Well organised
In full: Positives

Race was well organised
Free entry to London Zoo with the entry fee (and reduced entry for supporters)
Marsalls were good and cheered people on.
Three lap course meant you passed the water station three times, and it seemed to be well stocked.
Fairly good goodie bag, mainly containing food, but also a nice tiger pin.
Flat course with good PB potential once you get out the first Km which zig zagged around the zoo.

Negatives
Entry quite steep for a 10k (though does include zoo entry)
Not being speedy I don't know how much of a problem this was, back it was hard to know when you were being lapped. When the race leaders were coming through they looked like they were having to weave quite a lot.
Medal was quite cheap looking. I'd have liked an animal picture on it and maybe the year of the event.

In short: Nice idea but missed a little in the execution...
In full: I enjoyed this race - it was well organised, the route was pleasant and I did a PB. However, it was advertised as 'running through London Zoo' which you did technically, but we were well away from any big enclosures so couldn't see any animals. It would be more accurate to describe it as The Regent's Park 10k as most of the race was three laps of some of the park paths. Supporters had to pay £20 to get entry to the Zoo to see the start and finish (no reductions for running supporters) and there was no T-shirt which felt a little cheap when then registration was £30. So although it was a good day out I ended up feeling a little short-changed by the whole event.

In short: a great day out for all abilities.
In full: really enjoyed the day out today. supportive marshalls, nice flat course and an ok goodie bag.
the main part of the race was 3 loops of regents park which was ok on the first lap but very busy on laps two and three if you were nearer the front of the pack.
there could have done with another water station but this is a minor problem which could easily be remedied next year.quite a small field but the race probably couldnt take many more tbh.
there was a slight glitch with the prize giving but the race director was quick to respond and marshalls were brilliant.
for a first time race, this was good for all abilities. with a few slight tweaks this race will hopefully become a race calendar favourite.
