In short: 10k race tough and badly measured
In full: I ran the 10k race and was mainly disappointed due to 2 issues
1) Incorrect measurement and signage. My Garmin 610 measured it at 10.5km, as did Gmaps the next day. The KM markers were inaccurate to - the 1km marker measured about 1.2km by my GPS and confirmed by my pace - I was a good minute longer than normal for a km. Shoddy work really
2) No water in the race bags - instead some godawful energy drink that I couldn;t touch. Had to hunt round the stalls to find one giving out glasses of water

The route itself is varied - flat first 1km or so, then 2.5 km straight uphill without a break, flat to 4km then a sharp downhill to 5km before a lovely flat 2nd half into finish. Plenty of encouragement but some of the marshalling was a bit suspect. The bit at the end of the Long Mile was very narrow making it almost impossible to overtake

In short: Superb course, one mother of a hill just after halfway.....
In full: But the run in is straight and encouraging and flat / slight downhill. Really great one to do. Haven't done one for 15 years and this has really got me going again.

In short: Stunning route, great support, cracking event!
In full: Third time I have run this race, has been sunny each time. First 7 miles are flat and fast although a narrow path along the Thames means racers are single file unless you go on the grass. Good support over Henley bridge and through town then you hit the hill between 7 and 9 miles. Once at the top it's downhill then flat and fast until the end with a lovely fast straight along the Fair Mile and a good crowd to see you over the line.
I finished in 1hr 30mins which is my fastest time on this course but my chip didn't work so got a DNF, gutted. Apart from that the race, organisation, marshalls and support cannot be faulted. Will definitely be back.

In short: such great value for money
In full: 2nd time i've done the race, overall it's a good race and very good value for money.
Pros
- very good value for money
- started on time and lots of support from marshalls and locals
- good bag and medal at end
- no tie on laces chip but one which was on the race number
- very nice lady at mile 11 giving out jelly babies to runners - nice touch!

Cons
- long queues for toilet
- shower facilities weren't great but i guess at least it was available
- missing some mile markers (unless i didn't see them)
- water station signs weren't there for all water stations so before you knew it you were running into one so you had to quickly veer to the right to be on the right side
