In short: Well done Selby Striders - great event. Flat as a pancake, so both potentially fast but also exposed on a windy day - get lucky with the weather and a fast time is to be had In full: The road signage out of Selby is non-existant, so give yourself an extra 5 minutes to navigate by the sun. Parking plentiful, but in a field that could get interesting in wet conditions. Loo facilities limited, but relatively low limit on entrants (300) made to queues manageable. The course itself is very flat, so if you catch a good day then there must be massive PB potential - however any significant wind at all, and it would become rather challenging. Marshalls were numerous and efficient. Hot drinks and chocolate in the village hall very welcome on a frosty morn'. And a lovely 'woolly' hat in the goodie-bag. I'll definitely put it 'on the calendar' for 2013 - well done Selby Striders. Date of review: October 16, 2012
