In short: Great fun, Muddy, Muddy oh a very very wet.
In full: Great fun, lots and lots of splashing, paddling and clawing your way out of ditches and bogs. If you have never tried any of this type of event, give it a go. Great fun.

In short: The muddiest boggiest most brilliant BrutalRun yet :-)
In full: I love a bit of Brutal10K action. One of the friendliest races I know. Woolmer 2013 was a particularly wet/muddy/boggy affair which just added to the leg burn, and ultimately to the fun!

In short: Muddy Boggy Race seeks Shower
In full: There was mud. There was water. There was more mud. More water. Hang on, whats that? More mud you say? Oh look. A hill! AND MUD AND WATER!
Fell over about 50 times. Whacked my head on a tree during one fall. Helped people out of the "water features" when it was too slippery. Picked up people who fell in front of me and laughed about it as we carried on. Got mud and sand in places that I feel will only be found during a medical deep exploration of an orrifice at some point. My clothes were pretty much ruined...or at least my washing machine is now.
There are no negatives. The Brutal series are a must for anyone fancying getting away from the concrete jungle or safety of the local park where you might have to dodge a puddle.
If you are tempted but aren't sure, go look up the next race and DO IT. Doing these races make you look more attractive to the opposite sex.

Disclaimer: Doing these races will NOT result in you being more attractive to the opposite sex...but you will have a blast.

In short: Brilliant fun if you love mud, hills, cold water and more mud
In full: Another great Brutal course, at times I was upto my chest in cold, smelly mud or splashing through long stretches of water. Judging by the smiles at the end of the race I'm not the only one who likes putting myself through this kind of thing on a damp Saturday morning.
