In short: Fantastic event, even better second time around and got to see a World Record before it had even started!
In full: Took part in the inaugural event last year which was my first ever marathon and it was so good that I came back again this year to do my second! Thanks again to all of the organisers, runners and spectators for making it a great day. Brilliant goody bag at the end helped overcome the pain, will hopefully be back again next year!

In short: Excellent, great atmoshere, great goody bag, best value for money ever
In full: I don't visit RW often nowadays but I had to come on here to give them best rating because they deserve it! The DJ screaming your name every time you pass the finish (i.e 105 times!), music playing, people dancing, great atmosphere and great goody bag. I even got a huge cup of tea when I finished!
The only negative thing I can think of is that it gets very lonely after 4 hours (or maybe it's a positive thing because it shows very high standards!) but hey if you are still running you have the track all to yourself!
Totally recommended!

In short: Great fun, well organised, good for PB
In full: I signed up to this with nervous anticipation, worried about 26 miles on a track.
But what a fantastic event. So well organised, a real sense of fun, and a great bunch of people. Sandbach striders were fantastic hosts who could not do enough to help.
A great MC kept us all going, and will all finished with our very own dance version of YMCA. The MC even took time to lead everyone in singing happy birthday to my son.
Deffinately one for next year.

In short: 105.5 laps - not as bad as it sound!
In full: Great race! Really enjoyed my first track marathon and at no point did I get bored (or dizzy) running round in circles! The support from the spectators was fantastic and it was a really nice touch having the DJ encouraging us over the line every lap. With nowhere to hide for a quick walk break I got a massive PB, this is the first time I have ever run solidly for 26.2 miles! The organisation was fantastic, slight confusion at the end when I thought I had two laps to go but being told I was about to start my final lap was definitely a good thing. Thank you for a brilliant event and I would definitely run it again!

In short: A marathon with a difference.
In full: An excellent race, found running the distance on the track tougher than I expected and was a bit slower than I'd hoped.

Support was superb and the MC calling out our names and offering encouragement as we came past for each lap was brilliant.

I had a cock up at the end. Was told two laps to go, completed one and was taking off for final glory lap when MC called called me back and told me I'd finished!

Perhaps they could look at improving the communication of laps completed to the runners for next year!

Club house offers excelent changing an toilet facilities. Excellent value and superb goodie bag!

In short: Utterly fantastic - brilliant organization, very friendly and the best race bag ever
In full: I wanted the challenge of a track marathon and I came across Deja vu on Google - so cheap that I entered immediately. Arrived with about an hour to go, plenty of parking, toilets great no queue, friendly welcome and free coffee/tea in the club house. Nice atmosphere and perfect weather (no wind, some sun and cool). Everyone was very friendly and polite on the track and because there is a lot of overtaking people were very good at moving to avoid being in the way. Ran for a good few km with the organizer and Sandbach club chair - very friendly chap and a really nice guy. We held a slightly too fast pace, but it was worth it for the conversation. The location was really pretty good with green and trees. It was tough - I bonked at 27km (http://connect.garmin.com/activity/240244206) so my time was nowhere near my PB - but, that was my decision and nothing to do with the course. The announcer was fantastic and most have called out my name a good 40/50 times. Finally, the race bag was worth more than the entry fee: buff, two cans beer, water, flapjack, two pens, USB keyring, bottle opener key ring, two Freddos, banana, crayons, colouring book, two chewy sweets, toothpaste, peanut crisps, money off voucher....and more. Utterly fantastic. I would definitely recommend grabbing a place at this event. I travelled up from Cambridge to do it and will ask the organizer to add my name to their email list for the next event - I expect that it will sell out on opening day if they manage to keep the price down. Well done guys!
