In short: Really enjoyable race - will definatefly be back next year
In full: Really enjoyed this race - the scenary along the shore of Lytham St Annes was great with good support from the locals. Uplifting reading at the start for Rememberance Sunday and 2 minutes silence. The only thing I would change would be to split the runners at the start in accordance to predicted time. There was a bottleneck at the start as on a quite narrow path, as there were runners aiming for sub 40 minutes intermingled with 60 minute + runners. This is also needed for safety, as there were around 700 runners.

In short: Nice course, flat route but would be better with chip timing
In full: Pros: good website, easy to book, brilliant value for money at £10 for affiliated runners (medal, water at half way point and at end, Wagon Wheel and a keyring!), flat course, PB potential.

Cons: confused start line, didn't even hear the gun go and like previous poster didn't even see a start line as such; people weren't queuing according to their speed and got stuck in traffic, as it were. Could benefit from a few more marshals around the course.

Good local race but start needs to be looked at, and I'd pay more if chip timing was introduced. It was fantastic value for money though and it was a nice course.

In short: Great views, flat and beginner friendly
In full: The route was flat and very pleasant esp along the sea front. The race was well marshalled and there was a good coffee shop at the start of the race with plenty of toilets. There did not seem to be a clear start line which made it difficult to set you watch (maybe I just missed it). Also, one of the paths around the lake was not marshalled and a few of us took the wrong route. This said it is an excellent run for people new to running and a good PB course. It was friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. I will be doing it again next year.

In full: I really enjoyed this race, however it does need to be organised better. The start was a joke as there was far to many people at the front who hadnt trained or was there first race along with Joe Public walking down the front towards you made for a free for all. Must say thou was made up with my medal
