In short: Great race and marshals as always but I would have loved to have been in the meeting where salmon pink as a T shirt colour was voted in. I like to think I’m in touch with my feminine side but pink? Slightly disappointing. Date of review: April 5, 2013

In short: Will be back again In full: I wanted to put a review up if only to say a massive thanks to the Marshalls. If I thought I was cold....! Anyhow, my second year of doing this race and got another PB (despite the cramps due to the cold) It was well organised and well planned. However, as someone who runs with music (and I do keep it low enough to hear other runners around me and we were on closed roads) I wonder why the organisers had said they weren't recommended in the pre-race info? In short: What a difference a year makes! In full: Wow, Freezing conditions but the comms before the race were excellent from Malcom and the tea.
This is my favourite half. The orgainsation is excellent and although the course is fast there are still challenging sections to push you. The Rugby Club is brilliant and the facilities (warm shower and bar) justify the entrance fee. People dont understand the costs associated with a race like this. Its great value especially compare to the Bupa races (£40 for 10k)
Third Year on the spin for me and will be back next year wihtout a doubt. Date of review: March 28, 2013

In short: outstanding organisation In full: a perfect race for all. organisers obviously have some smarts and class as they saw the weather predictions and bought in 4000 silver foil blankets. they didnt have to do this so was appreciated. Medal is high quality. T-shirt is an unusual colour shall we say. Maybe stay with prime colours next yr. also the build up to the race was handled excellently with regular updates on the website regards snow conditions in wilmslow. in short you can tell this is a race organised by runners for runners Date of review: March 27, 2013

In short: Top class event In full: The organisation for this event is top notch, both leading up to the event and on the day itself. Thanks to the organisers, marshalls and for the excellent support around the course. Not easy conditions this year, but the organisation and support were still faultless. My wife appreciated the pink t-shirt!! :-) Date of review: March 27, 2013

In short: Very well organised and supported, but who chose that t-shirt? In full: Excellently organised race, with impressive support given the icy winds from hell that were blowing on the day. Nice goody bag, although I too could have done with the silver blanket being opened for me - after a couple of attempts with frozen fingers I gave up! Mind you, last year ice lollies would have been nearer the mark, so that probably won't be an issue again! Altogether an excellent and enjoyable event. But salmon-pink for the t-shirt? Might I suggest a cheerful bright red or blue for next year, because I'll be back...? Date of review: March 27, 2013

In short: Will be back next year In full: I don't know why I've never done this race before. Excellent race, will hopefully become a annual race for me. Best organisation I've witnessed.
Everyone was extremely friendly and made for a brill atmosphere. Even made some new friends on my way round!Marshals did a great job. And thought that having names printed on number was a nice touch.
Very fast course. Despite making a massive effort not to go off too quick, I ended up going off too quick. It's very easy to do even if you're trying not to, so be careful with that.
I personally thought the conditions were perfect for me, as I get very hot running. But this is a personal preference.
Minor criticisms. Didn't enjoy the walk back to HQ at the end. Bit baffled by those runners who decided to wear ipods despite the pre-race info clearly specifying that they were not allowed. It's a bit selfish. Maybe the mile markers could have been made more noticeable. I missed the first one as I was looking out for yellow signs not white!
Loved the t-shirt, loved the medal, loved the mars bar! See you next year Wilmslow. Date of review: March 25, 2013
