In short: a bit of hill training and *the hill* won't be too terrible, and it's worth it for the view at the top! Fantastic race organisation, great marshals, thanks very much Seaford striders! Will be back again Date of review: January 12, 2013

In short: Lovely atmosphere, really well organised, and a decent enough course. In full: It really does have a great atmosphere this race, is very well organised with excellent marshalling, and the course is challenging without being OTT. I probably should have checked the route in a bit more detail before I signed up though as I'd say it was about 30% on streets through residential areas which isn't really my idea of scenic. I also wish i'd worn road shoes instead of trail shoes as I think they'd have been better suited overall to the course. All in all a really nice event, run by people who obviously care a lot about what they do, great atmosphere before, during and after, and a decent end of year challenge. Well worth a go. In short: Ho ho ho well worth it! In full: This was my third year running the Mince Pie 10 and I woke up in the morning with no enthusiasm to do it. Yet again, my spirits were lifted and I throughly enjoy the race. Its well organised, friendly and small in numbers.
Only negative is that its starts quite late at 11am, so it takes up all morning and most of the afternoon by the time you've got home and sorted yourself out. Date of review: December 10, 2012

In short: Ho Ho Ho my God, what a hill! In full: My 3rd running of this race. I came back, not quite remembering what about it I liked so much, but now I remember that it is the combination of the atmosphere, first rate marshalling, and the sense of achievement having completed a tough old course. That's the first race I've had to wait for 100 or so sheep to cross the course! Thank you so much, Seaford Striders, for organising such a great, great race. Keep up the excellent work! In short: Well organised, friendly and good value In full: A very enjoyable event - I can certainly see why it was a sell-out. The organisation was excellent, with the sports centre being an excellent start and finish point. The course was challenging in places (especially the hill at 6M) but was very fair and an interesting route. Very scenic and mainly off road (but certainly not too muddy) with excellent views over the downs and the usual good and friendly marshalling. Excellent value at £9 for all this and a very decent goody bag (and mince pie!!). With this event and their summer 1/2 marathon the Seaford Striders certainly set a high standard for their events.
