In short: Even better than last year In full: This is a great holiday multi-terrain 10k, well-organised and with a friendly atmosphere. The 'no watch, no GPS' rule adds an extra element of fun and interest and I will be back for a 3rd time next year. Date of review: January 6, 2014
In short: What a great run, loads of fun and a lot of money raised for charity. In full: Love this race, brilliantly organised by Tony Ward. Great idea to run it without any watches giving everyone a chance to win by getting nearest your predicted time.
Agree with the chap that said try to make the finish a bit more obvious but not sure you can do that on the canal. But who cares ? Great fun, and look forward to next year.
Could it be possible to organise a similar one in the summer ? Date of review: December 29, 2013
In short: Good race! In full: Thanks for organizing this. Enjoyed the route, excellent marshalls and venue. A run for a good cause on a donation entry basis. The closest predicted time won and it was good to just run freely without a watch! Tiny comment for next year - maybe a more visible finish line. Thank you to all involved. In short: Superb organisation and good mix of runners In full: An excellent race to either finish the year or kick-start training and motivation for 2014. Mostly off road and flat along tow path/canal/bridle path which made parts of the course a little slippery/muddy and so trying to get a good time was harder than expected. However, that could also have been partly due to poor preparation by this particular runner who was out last night on the Guinness! Overall I really enjoyed it and look forward to doing it again. ;-) Date of review: December 29, 2013
In short: Lovely race and very well organised. In full: Echo previous comments about a repeat performance in the summer. A refreshing change not to worry about time. Very friendly organisers and marshals, equally suited to beginners and more experienced runners. Date of review: January 4, 2013
