In short: They're not exaggerating about the mud..! Not too difficult a course though.
In full: Lovely trail run! Undulating, but nothing too steep; some nice variety in the trails with a great section through the bracken. Mud everywhere though... and seemed to get worse towards the end! Atmosphere, organisation and marshalling were first class: these people really know how to put trail running events together! Looking forward to doing a few more Lakeland Trails this year.

In short: Will never be clean again
In full: I've never seen such mud! As a slow-y at the back of the 10k pack it was deep and slippy, and really slowed me down. Wouldn't recommend for beginners purely for that reason, a little bit demoralising BUT marshalls etc all brilliant, great day out!

In short: MUD GLORIOUS MUD!
In full: Fantastic event in a great corner of the lake district. Challenging normally muddy course friendly atmosphere, especially on the challenge, Great spot prizes and entertainment to boot! All in all a great day out.
