In full: First timer at this event. Very well organised, marshals in all the right places and all very friendly and encouraging despite them standing in the pouring rain. Route is a nice mix of roads, footpaths and trails. One of hills seemed almost vertical but good fun going down the other side. Slightly club orientated but friendly enough. The scenery and challenge of this race deserves more people to experience it. I will be doing it again next year. Thanks to Ryde Harriers.

In short: Nice Race, Glorious Views, Good day Out
In full: If ever there was a place that provides amazing sights and challenging terrain in equal measure, the isle of wight is such a place. The West Wights Sports center is the race hq, start and finish and offers bicycle parking, lockers, showers and a cafe. It offers excellent facilities which are certainly needed before/after this event. The Route is a plesent mix of road leading to trails leading to grass and then road again. The 1st half can be ran with a few hills to introduce you to the island. The 2nd half features a near vertical slog up the side of tennyson down (which I, and most around me, couldn't run up). The views from the peaks are stunning and worth the trip alone. A well organised event, short and sweet. Recommended.

In short: nothing could compare you for the hills
In full: My first race i was encouraged to do this by a co-worker and was glad i took part very hard at first breathing very hard for first couple of miles and that was before any hills, the downs part of the race could have been marshalled better as took a slight wrong turn but other than that they were very encouraging found it slightly clicky with all the club runners keeping to themselves but as a newcomer i was unsure of what to expect. the hills are a killer i should have trained more on the hills but hindsight is a wonderful thing finished in a time of 1hour 19 and that is definately a target to improve on for next years race and am looking forward to it already

In short: An amazing day out on the Isle of Wight. I'm sure there were 4 hills though! The downhill was pretty fast and fun!

In short: Fantastic race.
In full: Course marking was brilliant - where there were no marshalls there was mine tape. This is actually the easier of the 2 easter races on the Island, but after doing the Newport to Ryde, it hurts a bit. Oh, and by the way, if you only do one race, it's cheating!!
