In short: This was my first ultra and so glad I choose MDC!! It was very well organised from start to finish. I was a little worried about the navigational aspect but no need. the signage was great where required, and route description spot on. amazing scene

In short: thanks from a marshall to the runners!
In full: as one of the marshalls on the route (CP4, Devizes) I just want to applaud all of you that ran, finishers or not. It was my first marshalling effort and I had a great time - sorry if the water very very occasionally didn't quite keep up with demand despite me pouring like mad :-)

Hope to see you all again next year, same place, same time! (well, in fact, I hope I see you ALL a little earlier next year, for your own sakes :-)

cheers

didds

In short: Great marshalling and organisation. Weather prior and during the race made it very slippery in places. Didnt enjoy running through stinning nettles and overgrown footpaths though. But thanks for a good day k

In short: Great race. I can run it and my wife can walk it. What more could you ask?
In full: My one and only gripe would be results and times not posted up at the finish. Otherwise everything was excellent, well done to all who helped, thanks.

In short: Brilliant, my 6th time over 20 miles
In full: Again, fabulous. Showers, headwinds and sunny intervals this year, a real day out.

It always amuses me that on practically every event there's usually someone who says something or behaves in some erratic way that makes you wonder why they bother. This time it was some bloke, along Wansdyke shortly after the hill from CP 2, who started moaning to his mates "How long have we been running?", "How far have we gone?". Then, as we approached Tan Hill and CP 3 - probably the most stunning scenery in the event - "Are we half way yet", "Why aren't there mile markers?", "We must be half way, surely?". Actually mate, at that point we were barely at 8 miles! Why spend all that money if all you are going to do is bleat, and spoil it for those around you? Luckily you seemed to pack up after the checkpoint, leaving me in a group of true enthusiasts.

Will remember to get my application in by post, early next time, as the event was soon sold out. Note to organisers: PLEASE do not increase numbers!

Finally, I take my hat off to the winners of the 33 mile event, who apparently broke 4 hours! Bet they weren't drivelling on about "Are we nearly there yet?" etc! True runners!

See you all again next year, I hope!
