In short: Lovely run
In full: Second time doing this race, disappointed with my time last year so wanted to get it right this year and my partner and I beat last years time by 8 mins and got a PB not sure how that happened as quite a tough course. All I could remember was the hill at 7k so was all geared up for saving myself for that but unfortunately forgot all the other hills before that! But lovely scenic course bit of an all rounder some of road stuff to which is always fun especially as it was very slippery this year.Well organised and fantastic medal definitely 100% better than last year. Getting out of the field was great fun too, it took longer to get out of the field than to run the race. But everyone helped and it just shows that running these kind of events brings everyone together when needed, even had super heroes coming to help!

In short: A nice scenic race
In full: My 2nd ever 10k, I had read the reviews and spoken to people who did it before so knew what to expect.

It was good to see the locals (some in their jim jams) cheering us on from their front gardens. Overall a good course which I really enjoyed and got a new PB.

As said already, thank you to everyone who helped get the cars out the field afterwards.

In short: Nice time
In full: Nice race around the valley- good medals with a banana at the end - good atmosphere - car park was a nightmare with the mud but everyone helped each other -

In short: Beautiful, fun & challenging
In full: My first ever "competitive" 10k and what a beautiful way to start. Great first 5k, then a mite more challenging through to 7.5k with a slippery off road section followed by a short, sharp hill to climb back to the other side of the valley. Thoroughly excellent organisation and great team spirit helping everyone get out of the parking field afterwards. Thanks to SDAC for a great event and a superb medal to remind me of the day! Hope to be back next year...

In short: Fantastic!
In full: A firm favourite of mine. Just to echo, the scenery is glorious, love the early start, gives you the rest of the day, I always forget the hard sections, nice to see the locals out to cheer us on, top drawer medal, well organised and a warm down of, "push the car out of the field" with most of us helping each other, showing that runners have great spirit and sense of humour!

In short: A beautiful if a little testing race Well organised and great fun
In full: Organisation was friendly and efficient the HQ was adequate but the race itself is one of the nicest I've done. The Darent Valley is a lovely part of Kent and running through, into and with difficulty out of the valley under the viaduct and past the Eagle sanctuary is wonderful. The second hill adds spice and then it's all downhill and arms out to the finish. The farmer's field for parking did cut up quite quickly but the teamwork and kindness of all the runners and clubs ensured everyone got out reasonably unscathed while the sun shone.

In short: 1st time doing this run, glad I didn't know about the hills or may not have entered!
In full: This is a lovely scenic run which gives you something nice to look at. Its a shame it rained all night beforehand as it made parts of the run a bit muddy and slippery. I wasn't prepared for the amount of uphill sections and the hill at 7k really took it out of you although I didn;t stop running! Tough work for a beginner but If you want to feel great about having completed it then go for it as I was really proud of myself afterwards!

In short: Tough but loved it!
In full: Really enjoyed this run. Bit muddy in places but that added to the enjoyment. Was pleased to find the hill at 7k didn't seem as big as I'd remembered it! Only downside was the 45 minutes it took to get out of the car park afterwards. Thanks so much to all the runners that gave up their time and helped to push us all out. (Hope you all got out ok in the end!)

In short: Excellent challenging 10k
In full: Great 10k. Well organised from beginning to end. An undulating course with some great scenery. The hill at 7k isn't as bad as others make it out, short and sharp would be my description. Fantastic downhill finish. The finishers medal really is quite special, I would say one of the best in my collection!

Only negative was the parking in the rain sodden field which many, many people struggled to get out of. A good work out after a 10 k, pushing cars up muddy hills!
