In short: First time there and it's a fantastic, well organised race with plenty of variation along the route. In full: Really enjoyed it and I'll definitely be back; well organised, well attended with a great atmosphere. A welcome soup and roll after and fantastic photos by Bryan over at www.racephotos.org.uk (go and have a look, I've used some for profile pics etc). Also, the conditions on the day made for stunning views at the top of The Cloud.
Overall, a good run out and great Sunday after a very hard day at Black Combe the day before. Date of review: March 7, 2013
In short: First time Fell runners dream In full: Getting too close to 60 and looking for something different I chose this race, I was totally bowled over by the sheer friendship that I came across, from the fantastic marshall who guided me into the car park (and gave me a big lift out on the course, to the other marshalls who were helpful beyond belief, to the faster runners staying at the finish to give us slower runners a great welcome that put many marathons to shame, many thanks to Congleton Harriers for putting on such a wonderful race. In short: my favourite event of the year In full: 4th year in a row, and still love it. Great atmosphere, real mix of terrain(and weather!) Free soup and a roll, great cakes, got a massage and a goody bag AND a commemorative Buff, did a personal best for the course. Still buzzing. Well done Congleton Harriers Date of review: March 6, 2012
In short: Brilliant race In full: First fell race I've done, but would describe it more as extreme cross country. I'm in the middle of marathon training and this is the most my legs have ached all through my plan.
Organisation was great. There was a goodie bag available at the end but this wasn't advertised. It was very generous though. Thanks to the guy who bought me a slice of cake when I forgot my money. Date of review: March 5, 2012
In short: This is a brilliant race, a great mix of terrain and well organised. In full: I've done this race 4 or 5 times now and really enjoy it, although it's a fell race it's made for first time fell runners who are making the step up from XC. Theres a bit of everything terrain wise and the view from the top of Bosley cloud is fantastic. Well organised this year even though they didn't have use of the hall due to building works. Well done Congleton Harriers Date of review: March 14, 2011
