In short: I felt like a Grand Prx Racing Driver only wetter
In full: The event was great, my aunt and uncle took me there from Milton Keynes and sat in the stands to watch. Everythign was layed out really well and the pace times were set out accordingly. Nigel Mansell pressed the start gun and we were off.... it rained, hailed, sun glared, wind and calm. I had never raced in so many different weather conditions before. The track covers a large area so probably in 4 postcodes all the way round. It looped one way round then the other and also cameinside for part of a lap. I managed to keep myself up with the runners I started with and that helped with the timing.

Overall I managed 568th place with time of 1:36:35. Very pleased I was.

In short: Perfect warm up for flm
In full: It was a bit boring scenery wise, but the pre-flm atmosphere made up for that.

In short: Great for motorsport fans. Good crowd support when the weather holds out!
In full: This was my second Silverstone half, and I have to say I enjoyed this year much more than the hail and gales of 2007. The organisation is great here - I hardly had to queue for anything, not even the toilets! No problems getting my bag back after the race. My only gripe was that my timing chip didn't scan over the mat at the start so my finishing time was about 35 seconds out (the time it took me to get to the start line after the gun). I started with one of the Runner's World pacing groups which is a great idea if you feel intimidated by other runners around you - we had no problems getting past the people in front with our pacing group leader politely calling out we were coming through! Next year, it would be great to see a 7:30 mile group if you can manage one RW.

In short: Slick, well run event and a good run in for a London first timer
In full: Not exactly inspiring scenery although I love motor sport so it was great for me. A bit bleak round the back with no spectators but very well organised and beginner friendly with a nice chunky medal and a quality tee shirt

In short: Great race, better weather this year
In full: I like this race, always goood for a pb. Plenty of room for everyone( although cheating faster cretins who start at the back because it's chip timed and barge past us slower runners should be slapped) Lovely weather for a change. Overall a great day and I hope to be back for a 4th go next year

In short: Great race for all type's of runners
In full: Great race better than 2007 only because of the weather last year with hurricane albert, good atmosphere, very well organised, plenty of drink stops & an excellent 4 man tent style t-shirt ready for camping! (joke) & well the scenery... its a race track for gods sake what do you expect to see? Sydney Opera House perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically…!” ill be back next year if London dont kill me
