In short: This was my first 10k and am so excited that I managed to do it in a respectable time. I am not a member of a club, but still felt very welcome and just knowing I was running whilst surrounded by beautiful mountains (even if I didn't look at them!) Date of review: December 28, 2005
In short: first thing to meet you was ice cold snow, 2nd Rod Berry the organiser in his shorts and thin t-shirt and us in leggings and thermols - his words what a great day for a race and he was right. Best bit getting others to keep you warm after the race. Date of review: December 19, 2005
In short: The snow made it even more Christmassy. In full: Another successful race from Rod and Co. Running in the snow seemed to make me go faster to avoid sliding down the hills! Always worth the drive for this one. Date of review: December 19, 2005
In short: Fantastic scenery and a great 10K In full: This was my first time at the 10K, and I am hooked. Somehow the driving snow/sleet made it even more enjoyable. Wonderful scenery and a fast course - managed to set a new pb by over a minute.
This race is certainly on my calendar for next year. Date of review: December 19, 2005
In short: Great scenery, slightly undulating course, friendly and great fun. Well worth the long drive. In full: Fantastic views all the way, just a shame the wintry weather set in. A bit slippy underfoot and my hair froze, but I can't blame the organisers for that! I would have liked markers at each km to pace myself. Definitely back next year. Date of review: December 18, 2005
