In short: Very good run but not for your first 10k!
In full: A great but challenging offroad course. Not for your first 10k but well worth a trip. The big hill at the end finished me off!

In short: Great run through the woods, a bit muddy in places. Car parking and pre/post race well organised.

In short: Pretty, but challenging
In full: A very enjoyable run, so thanks to everyone who helped organise it. I'd forgotton that it is quite a difficult route though (ran it in 2006). Found the uphills quite challenging, and a little slippery in the mud sometimes. Lots of people 'queued' to get round the puddles, but hey, I just ran through some of them! Weather was perfect, both for the run (cool) and later in the day for Legoland with the kids (hot). Equalled my pb for the year, so should be happy. My thanks to the nice running couple who encouraged me to keep going for the final uphill! One improvement would be to mark out different start positions based on expected run time as there was a bit of jostling etc. Nice to have chip marking this year.

In short: Tough for a first timer like me, but enjoyed it.
In full: Did the 4k Fun Run with my 2 sons before hand, good fun kids loved it.
Very soft underfoot which made it hard for me as someone who has only been running on roads. A bit silly having the finish at the top of a really steep hill, I came close to barfing at the finish...not cool at all.Bit of a lack of atmosphere. Still I enjoyed it and am chuffed with my time given how tough the course was.

In short: Crowded and poorly organised
In full: The race started at 10am but the first bus from the train station was 9:40am. What were they thinking? More like a cross country than a 10k.

In short: Finish line at the top of a steep hill!
In full: What bright spark decided to put the finish at the top of a 1km long hill? They must have found it amusing to offer prizes for the best sprint finish considering not many had the energy to sprint after the hill.

To much stopping and starting with people picking their way through the mud and one of the hardest runs I've done.

Great sense of achievement when you're done though.

In short: Nice race on a misty Sunday morning - good fun
In full: Nice setting for a xc run - plently of mud & a misty start. Nice organisation & good marshalling around the course. Too many runner weavers for me thou. The pain & pleasure for me was at the end - hill @ 9k with a steep finish but getting your medal from an Olympic Gold medalist made up for it ten fold. Great goody bag & bits afterwards.

In short: Best bits are through the woodland - worst bit the climb to the finish!
In full: Small race, so everything went smoothly - enjoyed being given my finishing medal by a British Olympic Gold Medal - pretty inspiring. Well marshalled through the lovely woodland which was far nicer to run through than LegoLand itself. Don't be fooled by the downs - there are ups to match!
