In short: Great start to the XC season - and a rare opportunity for women to run long in XC, thanks
In full: My first time at this event - but probably won't be the last. It was a great course, which I imagine would be brilliant in the mud. It was a very dry week and so the ground was dry and spikes were a bit excessive - but good to give them an airing. Marshals really supportive. Great event. Thank you very much.

In short: A proper X country course
In full: Tough, challenging 2 lap course. Excellently marked out and marshalled. No concrete parts so can wear spikes. Great preparation for X country season although would hestitate to recommend it to a first timer.

In short: Great place to run, great organisation
In full: The friendliest race organising team of any race I've run. Congrats to the race director and the whole team. I was caught up in traffic on the way to the race, but when I managed to pick up my race number, the organisers found me a place to park asap, and looked after my kit so I made it to the start line on time. It's a brilliant course - tough but it's easier year 2 than year 1. I'll do this again without any doubt. Fantastic, fantastic race IMO.

In short: Challenging X-Country race in beautiful park setting
In full: Back for my second attempt at this early season x-country race. Recovering from a nasty cold caught the previous weekend and nearly didn't do it but was glad I did. Lovely weather and hugely encouraging marshals all the way round. Definitely one for the calendar.

In short: Excellent race on a very scenic course
In full: My first cross country race - enjoyed it but thought I was dying on the first lap so glad to see from other reviews other people found it tough as well ! Two and a bit laps make it a good race for spectators and there was lots of general support. Marshals were great and a very nice medal. Will be back next year.

In short: Great race in a great setting
In full: My first attempt at cross country and I seemed to do better on the numerous uphill sections than on the downhill slopes. A challenging, but enjoyable course. Clearly a lot of careful preparation had gone in to this event, as evidenced by the fact that most tree roots and trips hazards were marked out in day-glo paint.

In short: Hard but it was worth it
In full: My first off road race! The first one of many more, I hope!
Everything was very well organised, but I think that having at least one water station at 4-5 km would have made my race even more enjoyable.
