In short: Challenging but fair, excellent facilities but please put out sugar for tea at the end!
In full: Its true that the road surface is poor in parts but thats hardly the organisors fault. And yes its a bit hilly but thats a fact of life in Cornwall, there are much worse I'm sure, if you want a flat one try London or Amsterdam! Drink and sponge stations excellently run, great to be able to use the Hotel's facilities. A true gem of a race, long may it continue.

In short: Despite excellent organisation, the course could do with changing
In full: The event was let down by the course, which had far too many hills and not much flat sections. The road surface was also in a poor state in sections. Getting the course to run along a flatter and smoother road surface would make this event top marathon quality. Also the start and finish points should be on a flat. As already stated organisation was excellent and the post race goodies were good. May be charge extra and have one energy drink station on the course may be advisable.

In short: Love it!
In full: Terrific race, with everything beautifully organised. All race officials friendly and helpful. Great scenery, helped by perfect weather. Well done on post-race refreshments (lots of water, bananas, choc bars and of course pasty) and nice medal. Pasta party at the hotel was very civilized on Saturday night. Hills though not steep felt relentless on 2nd lap, but I did achieve my PB (admittedly only my second marathon). Support around the course was thinly spread but enthusiastic. Minor drawback of the course: it was entirely on roads with cars going both ways, although traffic was not at all busy. Overall, well done Cornwall AC, I would recommend this race to anyone!

In short: Loved it! Perfect conditions, very friendly, excellent support on the course.
In full: Really enjoyed this race. Course was not as challenging as I had expected which helped a new PB. Banter amongst the many club runners kept a smile on your face for much of the race. Lots of support out on the course and the cadets at the drink and sponge stations along with all the enthusiastic marshalls deserve medals!

In short: First Marathon, not the easiest but local for me and I really enjoyed it ....
In full: This was my first marathon, and I thought it was really well organised and very friendly indeed. The weather has a lot to play and today the weather was just gorgeous, the run long the cliff tops was just stunning and helped take your mind of the impending hills .... esp 2nd time round ! Lot of people out supporting and cheering which helped me no end.

In full: Came down from Scotland to do this one , and really enjoyed it. Good atmosphere at pasta party on the Saturday night, and organisation first class (only very minor grumble was that it was a bit confusing the very end, which could have been sorted by presence of a marshall at the second last corner). Superb value for money and great to have a warm shower in the hotel before starting long haul home.
The course is undoubtedly challenging and last few miles into the wind and uphill were tough. On the other hand I did manage a PB by 10 minutes and was delighted. Far more enjoyable experience than some big city marathons I have participitated in.

In short: Don't come for pb, but come for a great run.
In full: This was my 4th duchy. having pulled out of last year with an injury, i was determined to lay some demons. the ne winds were great on the outbound circuit, but made it tough on the inward leg. with the 2 dragging (not steep) hills on the course, you'll struggle for a pb, but support turns up in the most unlikely places and the whole atmosphere of the race is one of the best out there. the choccy bars and pasty are most welcome, along with the warm welcome back at the hotel. i'll be doing it again for sure and would recommend it to any first time marathoners who striggled to get into london.

the atmosphere this year was the best i've experienced in my 4 years of participation.
