In short: Hard Climbs but fun anyway
In full: Tough tough slog up the same hill on each of the 2 laps, but well worth it with best part of a mile downhill to the finish, well staged race

In short: Second year for me and I'm just as impressed as last year
In full: Love the stadium finish, love the facilities, good T-Shirt, great course (not some flat bland nothing course), it really gets you thinking. Parking's fine, cost is great.

Just wish I'd finished it! Had to pull up at 1mile with a back prob.

I will be back next year though.

In short: A challenging course set in parkland with track finish
In full: "the finish was miles away from the stadium" - ? The finish was at the stadium... Take the point about the sharp turn just yards from the finish though, perhaps due to the ongoing building work around the site? A tough course (this year with a gale force wind) but nevertheless enjoyable - I run the fun run as a warm up! Plenty of easy parking close by with good facilities at the stadium and all in a good cause.

In short: ok but could have been great
In full: Now I dont like to knock an event organised by a charity, but this could have been so much better. Good venue, excellent facilities but underused. Not a stadium finish at all - about 10 metres of track after a 180 degree u-turn - not good for the sprint finish. Also the finish was miles away from the stadium. Why not alter the route so that you finish on the 100m straight in front of the stadium and spectators?
decent course though with one very long (and windy) hill, which you run up twice. Better route planning and a proper stadium finish could make this race truly excellent.

In short: Pleasant way to pass a Sunday morning!!
In full: Difficult conditions with the wind nearly blowing me off my feet and not exactly warm! Great atmosphere and a lot of mutual suppport between the runners, which assisted many of us in getting up that hill (twice!!!). At least you know its coming the next time! Pb for me despite all this!!
Third year Ive done this and Ill be back next year.

In short: Fun Run thats ideal for kids
In full: I took our children on the 5km fun run. They loved it - and finishing in a stadium with a genuine big digital clock to show the time on, and a medal made it all ideal. Well organised, with easy parking, I'd recommend it.
