In short: Very friendly race with a nice cup of tea and piece of cake at the end
In full: Did this race while on holiday. Bargain for £10 on the day. It was my first 10K so didn't know what to expect, but it was well organised with friendly marshals.

The course climbs steadily on roads/tracks for the first 4-5k then levels of in the fields, after the first water station. 1 stile to negotiate followed by a steep descent/ascent to the same station from the other side at about 6-7k, then downhill. Final 1k up slight incline, back to the school for the finish.

Really enjoyed it and will do it again if in the area again.

In short: Well organised 10km with slightly hilly profile, good value - great views
In full: Local 10km race (ran whilst on holiday). Good value at £10 for on the day entry, money raised goes to local school that organises the race. Thank goodness no t-shirt (I don't need them and prefer the lower cost). Nice tea and cake post event.

Course climbs steadily for 4k, with a loop of tracks at the top and returns down a fast steady road downhill before turning back into Pickering. Last km slightly uphill but only just.

Water at around 4k and 6k (same station passed twice as loops cross over).

Some of the views are worth stopping to admire (or go back later)

In short: Great race. Well marshalled and signed, very friendly event.
In full: I enjoyed the race and will definitely do it again. It was well organised and had a very friendly feel to it. Quite a challenging over distance course (why not measure it properly and make it a real 10K - I'll never understand that?) but worth doing. Thought the key ring memento was a bit tight!!
