In short: Fairly hilly but nothing too strenuous
In full: Weather was good - pleople, including the runners were friendly. Nice scenic course, well marshalled. Definite potential for a PB but would have to train hard to compensate for the hilly bits. Nice momento to finish off a very nice run (although would still prefer a medal!). Well worth doing - will definitely do it again next year with the mission to do better!

In short: A lot of hype about the hills before the run, which overall i found better than expected. No chance of PB but a great run none the less.

In short: Good testing, but scenic, course. Cool conditions for once.
In full: After 2 years of oven temperatures it was actually possible for me to get round at a decent pace. Personal best (on this course) by 6 minutes.

In short: Tough race but very scenic.
In full: This is a hilly race through beautiful Kent countryside near Canterbury. The race is along quiet country lanes, so traffic is absolutely minimal. Well marshalled and with good parking facilities although these are a little way from the start. The start is a little way from the Red Lion pub itself, so be sure to get there in time! The route is undulating overall with a substantial hill between 5K and 6K and a killer hill up to the finish (last 500 metres). Don't expect a PB on this course. 2004 was very hot, and previous years have also been on the warm side. Drinks stations were well placed and stocked.
