In short: Lovely afternoon in the snow
In full: Top marks for:
a. not cancelling the race
b. Website update on Saturday advising of same

Modified course this year, presumably to avoid any snow concealed holes. Still hard work, but encouragement all the way round from the smiley marshalls. Seemed to be mostly club runners, but still encouragement for those of us at the back.

In short: Cosy, fun and a real workout.
In full: I was going far too fast on that downhill, with no way of slowing down, and loved it! Felt sorry for the men who had to do the accompanying uphill 3 times...

Lovely atmosphere. I was worried that the small numbers would mean a hardcore bunch, and then me, but I needn't have fretted: It was really friendly, with a good range of abilities. I'd recommend it.

In short: Lovely local event with a kick in the tail
In full: Mostly club runners, but marshalls were offering support and encouragement to all. Course can get quite slippery (esp for the male vet/senior race, which is last) so something with a little more tread than racing flats would be useful.

In short: Really tough race because of the steep hill (3 times for the men) and the crazy decent (X3). I thought that I was going to die! Not for novices. Really good views, really good organisation. Will be back next year.

In short: Challenging but really quite worthwhile! Great marshalls
In full: Quite a serious field on this one but still open to all comers, and the rpac team of marshalls were brilliant!

In short: Ran in the women's 3 mile race, there was a larger field than previous years so there was much more atmosphere!
In full: Very welcoming and well-organised series of races to bring you in to Christmas. Nice to run with the Under 17s for a change too. Ladies do one small lap and one big lap (=1 big hill) and I think the men do three big laps (=3 big hills!!) so not a particularly fast course. Nice to be able to support each other with the mens and ladies races setting off at different times. Lovely atmosphere and support from the marshalls all the way round!

In short: Great run, great scenery
In full: Home territory, so extra enjoyable. Great organisation - great cakes at the end! Good support, especially the two young lads at the end 'Go on! You can do it in under 27!' - just the encouragement needed! Thanks to RPAC
