In short: Quick, and then the hill
In full: Good race, scenic, but roads fairly busy. Two challenging hills (for a half marathon) at 10 and 11 miles finish most PB thoughts

In short: Great event with the tease of a PB
In full: Managed to get a PB on this course so all smiles here!
Organisation excellent, great value for money and really enjoyed this day out.
Weather and wind not that bad at all.
I hope this is in our club championship again next year.

In short: Well organised, good course, enjoyable race
In full: This is my local race so I know the course well. There is enough variety in the course to keep you interested with a couple of healthy sized hills to keep you honest.

The organisation is very slick and there is a good mix of club runners, first timers and locals.

Not the biggest crowds of supporters but pockets around the course were enough to give you a lift.

The t-shirt is decent - you might actually wear it in public unlike some.

Only real gripe is the number of toilets at start and the behaviour of some of the drivers along the hillfoots road.

Overall, a very good race and well worth doing

In short: Excellent oraganisation and midly challenging course
In full: First time at this event but definitely will be back. Excellent organisation. Easyish start with long back straight and then at mile 10 the start of two tough hills to finish. Good signage and water stations throughout Good mix of runners and thoroughly enjoyed it.

In full: A gently undulating route with a mix of rural/urban surroundings. Good organisation only let down by too few toilets, not the best changing area, no technical tshirt and no date on medal/ribbon. None of these were show stoppers and did not detract from a sound race for a decent price.

In short: Enjoyed this race
In full: This is my first time doing this particular race and thoroughly enjoyed it. Car park very well signposted for the event (nice touch! - parking is one of my biggest worries when racing in a strange town). Registration easy, plenty water stations - though it would have been nice if the bottles were opened before being handed to the runners. Good course - reasonably flat, a few gentle ascents and equally gentle descents, even the hill at mile 11 was neither as long nor as steep as I've encountered on other courses. And I got another shiny new PB!

In short: The conditions were near perfect cannot think anyone had a complaint except me!
In full: Lovely medal pity no date shown on it or the ribbon. The Running Company 10% voucher expired 31/12/2009! Some folk were walking within minutes of starting at the front and others were weaving about as they continued messing with their iPods etc but this is becoming the norm in many races now. The race itself, the weather, the goody bag, the marshals/police all made it a super day for the runners.

In short: A well organised and good value race
In full: My only criticism is the traffic on the Hilfoots Road, sometimes I felt the cars were just a little too close for comfort
