In short: Don't let the weather cloud your judgement LOL
In full: The weather WAS terrible, but that was no-ones fault and shouldn't count against a race that is good Value for Money, very well organised and goes through some great scenery. The only negaive is the lack of support along the route but, given the rural nature of long parts of the race, what can you expect ?

In short: have done this race last five years now and always a joy to run.
In full: Despite the arctic conditions enjoyed the race . everybody just huddled together in wee groups and helped each other round. no chance of a pb this year but gained a little bit inner strength running into a hurricane for 5 miles.

In short: The bitter cold put a damper on a very run of the mill half marathon. A couple of long, slow inclines and a lack of crowd support prevented this from being a very memorable run. No t-shirt either !

In short: The jet washing in ice blown in by the gale made it a race to remember !

In short: Unusually bad weather. First timers should try again next year for a more enjoyable experience.
In full: The weather this year was the main talking point. Don't be kidded by the runners' dressed to go home as you were crossing the finish. Their swagger hid longer times by their standards. Everybody did exceptionally well in the conditions.

In short: Superbly organised and friendly event with fantastic scenery to take your mind off the wind, rain and snow showers!!
In full: A warm thank you to all the volunteers involved, especially those who braved the elements at the water stations to ensure all runners could get some water. Not only did I beat 2hrs for the 1st time but my wife and kids had a great time during the fun run events. Courtesy buses to/from car parks very efficient.
Overall, a very well organised and attended event, congratulations to all involved.

In short: Ninth time running here, and 7th in a row, PB on this course in 95. Shame about the conditions on Sunday but these couldn't be helped, well organised all the same
In full: Well done all the volunteers who stood out in the appalling conditions - Brilliant job - Thanks You

In short: Scenic run-out in decidedly non-scenic conditions!
In full: 7 fairly sheltered, mostly downhill miles to lull you into a nice rythum, then turn the corner & BANG - 3.5 miles of hideous headwind accompanied by stinging hail & the odd snow flurry!!!
I had a fantastic time & would highly recommend the race. Great organisation & a nice, scenic course. Main uphills are all in the last 3 miles, so little chance of a negative split.
