In full: a great day out, def a pb course, i was about 6 mins slower than my pb but only cause of ongoing injury. will def be back next year. great medal, no t-shirt or goodybag but a good deal considering the small entrance fee, who wants a load of crud at the finish anywayz? scenery was good most of the route

In short: Nice flat out and back
In full: Was worried as had done the "Tour of Clydeside" group of four races in week leading up to this but was less than 4 minutes short of my PB. Great organisation plus very nice changing/shower facilities.

In short: This was my first Helensburgh Half Marathon and certainly won't be my last. A lovely course and great organisation. Mostly flat with a couple of undulations to make it interesting, Definitely recommended.

In short: A good run-out, would describe as undulating rather than flat
In full: Very picturesque and number of entrants appropriate for course so not too crowded. Unfortunately, missed the start by 4 minutes due to roadwork related problems on the way from Glasgow(should really have checked that first), so had to hammer the first mile to catch up with the race, with route not being closed to traffic. Not many crowds but understandable being mostly a countryside out & back. Sufficient water stations and a nice medal & Mars bar at the end rather than a carrier bag full of flyers which would be filed in the bin. Will definitely be back.

In short: Everything you want
In full: Huge car park and warm up area beside the sea. Very low traffic. Partly out and back so you see people ahead and behind during the race. A few slopes but a fast route, especially the last few miles. Swimming pool at end.
