In short: Amazing race, but v tough and hot, at least for me!
In full: This year I moved up from the half marathon to the full marathon. It was v tough on my legs, with some hard climbs, but I will be back next year!
It was great having more marshalls and markers this year, so I didn't get lost! I hope that this is the case going forward and not just a 1 off for the world championship selection!
It really is an amazing area to run in and I recommend you run either the marathon or half marathon before it gets too popular.
Many thanks to all the marshalls and organisers.

In short: Hard challenging race but very rewarding buzz when you finish the race
In full: This was tough half marathon for me but would do it again .The senery was fantastic if was not to focus on the race . The hill before higher heights check point and the hill before boss more chech point were both a killer . last one was so hard I walked . Will definately do more off road marathon and maybe a full one one day . Fanstastic day out . This will not be my last .

In short: First ever off road race, excellent!
In full: Very nice scenery, challenging climbs, friendly event, could have done with more water stops, massage was a good idea but wasn't hard enough to stop legs aching!

In short: Cracking event with stunning views over Wharfedale and slick organisation
In full: Quite a tough race, despite being a C class fell race some of the climbs were pretty harsh and some pretty rocky sections as well. Scenery is spectacular and would be worth running as a training run just for that. Organisation was excellent and well thought out, and the facilities at the rugby club were pretty good too.

I managed a 2nd place prize as well just to top my day off so I'm on cloud nine for the near future.

I would heartily recommend this race for anyone with an interest in the beautiful Yorkshire dales. Good T-shirt as well, plus a gel in the goody bag (bit puzzled by the box of shredded wheat though). Great value for £15

In short: Running this marathon was a dream, spectacular terrain and scenery
In full: The organisation was very good, very friendly and supportive marshalls at checkpoints. The views were stunning it was a delight to be taking part in this marathon, the ladies' changing room and showers apparently an improvement on recent years, too.

In short: So much better in the sunshine than in the rain last year!
In full: Great race, great organisation, worth the 2 hour drive to get to it!

Only 2 gripes, 1 that it is a little pricey at the £15 i paid on line, with a limited 'goody bag' compared to last year. Second one is the ladies shower facilities - again this year we were in the referees room with only 1 shower! Ladies run off road too and we would also like a shower without a 20 minutes wait!

In short: Hot, hot, hot, but still a great race and will be back next year
In full: It has to be the hottest race I've done. Great scenery, but too hot for the hills!

I hadn't done enough training this year due to injury, but still haven't missed one yet and will continue to travel back from London for it!

The swipe card checkpoints are better than last years "dibber" system. Getting split times at the end is still a good idea.

The additional checkpoint kept people honest across the field near Bordley Farm. The unmanned checkpoints were marked more clearly with signs than last year.

My only gripe is that the t-shirts were none descript this year. The t-shirts from the 1st 2 or 3 races were great as they had the year on them, the event, and a map of the route. The ones this year simply had marathon events written on them. Please, please revert to t-shirts that explain the race that we have run.

Apart from that the organisation was fantastic as have all these races that I have run.

I will be back again next year, but I will have done more training!

I recommend you come and run this before it gets too popular. There were 225+ in the 1/2 and 90+ in the full marathon.

This is a must-do race as it is a spectacular one-off.....

In short: Great - very tough climbs but loved it
In full: Fanatastic fell race - scenic, tough climbs and good route. Would definitely run this again - in fact going to make a weekend of it next time as its a beautiful location too.
Can't move my legs yet, but it was worth it !

In short: Excellent race. Make sure you do this race...
In full: This was my 4th consecutive year. Gets better every year. Will be back next year.

Travel up from London every year to run this race.

The sportident was a great idea, so no more stamping of paper at checkpoints. Get a print out of splits when you finish, which was great.

Weather was better than the previous couple when it has been boiling hot!

This race is v well organised. It has great scenery with some pretty punishing hills.

The size has increased each year, so make sure come and run it before everyone else!

If you have 1 race left to run do this one.

Awesome race.....
