In short: They've got it right first time!
In full: The inaugural Stinger 9 and Totton running club did a wonderful job. From assistance with a late entry to clockwork organisation on the day coupled with a gorgeous course taking in some challenging hills I can't think of anything that could be improved upon. Special mention to the legions of marshalls directing you at every turn and offering welcome encouragement - you did your club proud. in short I cant recommend this race highly enough.

In short: A beautifully organized, amazingly friendly, tough challenge amid glorious countryside
In full: The inaugural event of what ought to become an early summer off road classic. The course was a real toughie with long ascents and descents through beautiful New Forest countryside. The organization was superb and the marshals were probably the most vocal, friendly and supportive group of enthusiasts I have ever encountered. This race is a credit to Totton Running Club and from the appreciative comments I heard from my fellow runners it looks like we will all be back next year. I recommend that you join us. A huge thank you to all concerned.

In short: hottest day of the year!!
In full: A VERY hot day and a challenging course did not stop this being a special event. A first time for this course for the organisers Totton and an option to complete it as a relay; but to me, everything about it put many (and even some very large) events to shame - well spaced water stops, pleasant marshalls (that called you by name!! - a nice touch), brilliant goody bag for such a small event, results online exceptionally quickly and even asking for feedback after the race to see if anything could be improved on. DEFINITELY put this on your running list for next year folks

In short: Good flat course, good atmosphere, excellent organisation and facilities
In full: I have done this the past two years (with two very different extremes of weather!) and though I agree the scenery leaves a lot to be desired, it really was a good, well organised, fun race. Will definately be back next year.

In short: Nice flat course.
In full: Nicely organised race, although did see one wheelchair athlete almost get taken out by a car the marshalls failed to stop.

Nice and flat - can see why PBs get broken here. Real nice atmosphere.

In short: Good, flat and well marshalled course!
In full: Enjoyed the run, despite the bitterly cold conditions! At least the snow had cleared! The marshals were very encouraging and the course flat with great PB potential. Shame I didn't take advantage of that fact!! Would love to do it again!

In short: Totton. This isn't just fast. It's very fast!
In full: It's true that Totton was at the back of the queue when God handed out pretty scenery.

But who cares? If you're going sufficiently slow to notice, you're not trying hard enough! :-)

The organisation here was excellent, and the school coped admirably with the people. Even the chairs in the hall were big enough for full-sized people!

Well marshalled, a nice souvenir, results displayed within minutes of runners crossing the line, official photos available as soon as the race finished.

This is a no-nonsense, well-organised uber-fast 10k.

Please, Hampshire Police, please can we keep it?!!

In short: Fantastic organisation, I hope they can keep the course!
In full: My first Totton 10k - I entered to take advantage of the fast, flat course and wasn't disappointed. Friendly marshalls all the way round, the school made a good base. Unfortunately I'd been injured between entering and racing, but still managed to get within 2s of a PB - definitely a fast course! I do hope that this route can continued in future.
