In short: Tough
In full: A tough course. Felt like it was mostly up hill. It was well organised and marshalled, but not what I would call an enjoyable run, but perhaps that says something about my fitness. A good hill session was had though, and perhaps that's just what I needed.

In short: Hills upon hills
In full: This was a tough run, that just never seemed to get easier to me, though that perhaps shows I'm not quite in shape. Looking at the profile my garmin produced for me it's true that the main hills are in the first half, but the second half sees some descents followed by ascents, and certainly the ups were regular enough that I never felt I'd reached "the downhill bit". Lovely quiet roads and smooth organisation, plus if you live nearby you can cycle there on the cuckoo trail which makes for a good start/end to the whole thing.

In short: A good fun, slightly hilly race
In full: Excellent weather for my 1st 10K race. The hills are not steep but they don't ease up until about 6K. Excellent organisation, very clear kilometer markers helped me a lot.

In short: A really good race
In full: Like last year warm conditions which was nice - There are a few hills to test you but plenty of downhill sweeps - A bit of a walk to the start or if you are sensible a warm up jog . Marshalls were very good and encouraged runners all the way . Beat last year by 4 min and will be back next year to trim this time again . Thanks for a great day

In short: Nice Race & Excellent Cakes!
In full: Everyone said it was really hilly, but really, there was nothing that punishing. The only sharpish bit didn't last long at all, and the run in was gently down. So I came in a good two or three minutes quicker than I had been expecting. Big respect to the providers of refreshments at the end :-) cake lovers take note - this is a most worthy event!
