In short: A tough but not off putting run. Nice route through Bridge and surrounding country.
In full: You'll need to be near the front if you want to avoid the bottle neck going out into the country - quite a narrow path with potholes. The hills are tough but not too bad. It's all downhill after the 3rd at 7 miles.
My only gripe this time was 2 phone calls after the event from the organisers, first asking for my feedback on the race (nice!) but then trying to sell me insurance or a loan?!

In short: Definitely undulating!
In full: This was my 1st 10 mile race and I found it a challenge. It was definitely undulating with a steep, long hill at 4 miles and another long but gradual hill at 6 miles. It seemed to be mainly hardcore runners out to get their PB. Lots of runners spitting too - gross! Really glad I was with my PT for moral support. The weather was fab (Jan 2010) and would do the race again but not on my own - not particularly friendly.

In short: I really shouldn't have enjoyed this with the rain, puddles and ford, but I loved it!

In short: Fab marshalls - lovely scenery -dreadful weather
In full: Fab marshalls - they really encouraged all runners despite dreadful weather. Very well organised run - my first attempt at this distance. Shame about the t-shirt though - I would have preferred a medal instead.

In short: Good race despite the weather
In full: We were unlucky with the weather-probably the worst morning for several months, especially the strong wind.

However, the race was as good as ever and the organisers had sorted a couple of "negatives" from previous years-parking near the race HQ and the no. of toilets.

Special thanks to the marshalls, especially those in the most exposed parts of the course. You did a great job and kept cheerful and supportive to us all, despite the cold and rain.

In short: A great race in terrible conditions
In full: The torrential rain and driving wind reduced all the ratings. The marshalls were fantastic - all soaking wet and freezing cold, but very supportive.

In short: Enjoyable run.
In full: I think it's more of a challenge to run in rough conditions and therefore more of an achievement. Not a day for the lightweight "fair-weather" runners.

In short: Weather was bad, but the route was good
In full: Had it been a fine day this race would have definitley had PB best potential for anyone.
The scenery was great but the weather was such that i kept my head down, and plodded on, and feeling under the weather so to speak on the day, i was glad to get to the end. I was 10 minutes off my normal pace, but still did it in 1.28.Yes i would do it again to see if i could get a PB.
