In short: Cracking sunday morning run
In full: After a few days of rain we got a great sunny day for this run, nice course up to the Castle and back round the lake, well organised and for a really good cause.
Fun run afterwards also good.

In short: Lovely run in beautiful countryside
In full: Easy to get in/out & park and no long toilet queues . . in fact all the organisation was fantastic. Cheerful marshals round the course and scenery was definitely helped by the glorious sunshine we had! I wouldn't consider this a hilly race (coming from Stainland) but it is challenging due to different types of terrain underfoot - fields, trail, puddles and tarmac - which also made it great fun. Thanks to all those involved for putting on such a marvellous race for a great cause :)

In short: Great Sunday morning out in splendid surroundings.
In full: A very pleasant race, while the rest of the family walked the dog for an hour. Very encouraging and entertaining PA announcer and a good friendly atmosphere. Faultless organisation too.

In short: Nice way to spend an early autumn morning
In full: Enjoyed it. Pleasant route and for a good cause. Only downside is PA system is too good. I could hear the winners being announced when I still between 7 and 8k!

In short: Well organised race, with some challenging terrain - good fun.
In full: Really good race. prefer the new course, although it's torture being able to hear people finishing on the PA from the other side of the lake with a good mile still to run!

In short: A hilly challenging race in places with PB potential.
In full: Good organisation & warm welcoming marshalls made the race. The course is challenging in places but still has good PB potential. It is very off-road so beware of pot-holes, i fell down one & twisted my foot but other than that a good run with splendid views at the top of Sandal castle. Recommended.

In short: Nice Sunday morning multi-terrain run
In full: Agree wholeheartedly with northernpat, why run in expensive Sheffield where BUPA rip you off when you can support Wakefield Hospice in a far superior race? This is a hugely enjoyable trail run around Pugneys Country Park up to Sandall Castle and back along a mixture of surfaces. No comparison to urban Sheffield!

In short: Great Yorkshirerun or Sandall Castle
In full: No contest - why pay for a race at a ridiculous price when you can go to sandall and enjoy a different race. Well orgainsed from car park, marshalls etc. Start is a bit hectic to the first path and few places where you just can't overtake. Very welcoming, with a good PA system you can actually hear.

Good race so if you are bored with sheffield route try this one.
