In short: Tidy course on quiet country roads, fantastic downhill finish onto village green.
In full: A friendly, traditional, village event with a happy atmosphere. Very well organised.

In short: Hills become seem to become steeper as race progresses
In full: Really enjoyable, friendly race. BBQ at end, car park a longish walk from finish area, but hey! we're fit runners, makes for a good cool down jog, then back to the BBQ and prize giving. Nice beer glass and bottle of real ale to all finishers and everyone waited around for the last finisher which was nice. Certainly a race to do again.

In short: An undulating course. The whole village appeared to be out in force to support the runners. The marshalls were friendly. The beer at the end was most welcome.

In short: A friendly and well-organised race.
In full: I had no idea of the course when I arrived and was warned by more experienced runners of the long climbs. However, the race turned out to be not as grueling as some made out. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back next year.

In short: BEST RACE I'VE EVER ENTERED!
In full: I wasn't looking forward to the hills so was prepared for them - then they didn't seem so bad and the down hills were brilliant. What a great half a mile down hill finish - the only race I've finished thinking I wanted to do it all again!

In short: Quick scenic race
In full: Nice race in the countryside - lots of long downhill sections, with some uphill sections as well. Really well organised - and some nice momentos at the end, and a lovely fast finish.

The only gripe I would have was the start, I appreciate it kept the waiting runners of the 'main' road, but the downhill start with immediate 90 degree turn caused alot of bumping, tripping and stumbling. But its a minor thing!

Well worth the hour journey for me and I'd definately come again.

In short: Nice course, friendly,
In full: Memento + bottle of beer at the end (even for those entering on the day); more downhill than up. Well supported by the village, even in the rain. Agree mile markers weren't good this year. I'll be back.

In short: Good village atmosphere and support. Nice glass as a memento.
In full: It was a great shame that rain fell throughout the race. Proper mile markers would have been good.
