In short: Fantastic race, amazingly well organised and fun! In full: A brilliant race, really well organised from registering online (I had an email within hours from the organisers) to getting home, with hassle free arrival, parking, racing, leaving in between. Thanks to the host club for their event, all topped off with a great quality & unique medal. Thanks! Date of review: June 4, 2013
In short: Love this race more each time I do it :) In full: This is one of my favourite races - I encouraged 2 none runners to enter and train for this one .....I have had to explain that not all races are like this special race they had a fantastic time. The atmosphere is great for beginners. Thank you to all the Marshalls from all the 'Tarts'n'Trout' runners who took part. Already looking forward to next year. Date of review: June 4, 2013
In short: Great atmosphere, great race In full: Had a good feeling about this race when I was emailed the comprehensive info pack, and that feeling was confirmed by everything about the day. Signage to the parking area was crystal clear, and the one-way system worked well. Multitude of efficient, friendly marshals, and a happy atmosphere on the green. Race itself was a good mix of road and trail with enough mud to keep bog-trotters happy, and little by way of gradient (to keep wimps like me happy!). Great medal. All in all, first class Date of review: June 3, 2013
In short: H4 put on a great race, impossible not to embrace their energy In full: Really enjoyed this race. My first time running the Harvel 5, and I’m looking forward to doing it again. The organisation, both before, during and after, was excellent – and the atmosphere was suitably relaxing, not too clubby despite a good turnout from local club runners. The route itself was a bit more off-road than I expected, but that’s good in my books – although the recent rain had made it a bit boggy and slippery in places. A nice fast last km certainly lifted my mood having been in the doldrums in the middle mile…a combination of heavy cold and hayfever is not the best mix for hard aerobic activity!! A nice medal too – if you like that sort of thing.
