In short: Great race, pity about the weather. Fair share of up and downhills. Got a PB so it can't have been too bad! Date of review: May 22, 2007

In short: Late entrant but even the weather couldn't spoil the enjoyment In full: OK, so I decided late in the day to come along. The only disappointing thing was that the race information had nothing about where it was being held (other than in Alton). No signs up in Alton and no-one at the Sport Centre (right next to the Running Club HQ) seemed to know anything about it. Fortunately came across the race car park by accident. After that, everything was great and the even was really well marshalled. Enjoyed every minute. Date of review: May 16, 2007

In short: Very very hilly - At 8 miles just wanted it to end In full: Could have made it easier for my first 10 miler but was nice and close to home. Very hilly throughout the race including gentle slope for last mile to the finish which killed me. Will probably do next year as I had to walk in places which upset me with the amount of training I had done. Large field but very well organised (No finishers medal!!!). Date of review: May 14, 2007

In short: A worth while local trip out for me. Had a competative feel and lots of club runners forming up huddles so not so good for the unattached. Date of review: May 14, 2007

In short: Lovely scenery and well organised, hills weren't as bad as I'd read about. Eastleigh RC supports were great and it's not even their race. Date of review: May 14, 2007

In short: Wet 'n' Wild! In full: Never done this one before, but would do it again. The organisation is fantastic. I can see what people mean by the dour marshalls, but full marks to them for turning out on a day as wet as today, as well as the few families that did, but cheered everyone.
Well done Alton Runners, Round Table and local services! Date of review: May 13, 2007
