In short: Great, freindly race
In full: An excellent race, with pb potential. Great marshalling helped to stop traffic as you crossed junctions.
Organiser was very helpful in dealing with swaping over an entry.
Overall an excellent race which I will be doing again next year.

In short: Good road race- PB potential
In full: This was a great road race and would recommend this. The course is two laps with a water station just before the half way point. There is traffic but the clue to that is in the name 'road race' and there are marshalls in place to deal with this. The marshalls were very friendly and gave loads of encouragement and will be doing the race again next year as knocked 6 minutes off my pb. Well worth it for the price

In short: Organised, friendly early morning race, great support and mementoo
In full: My second time to the swinton half and I enjoyed it just as much as last year, very good marshalling, all major cross roads were heavily marshalled so you could concentrate on running - thank you for a good safe race. yes people moan about the dull scenery but this is the main route into Manchester! Hey and there are fields with horses at the half way point and again at mile 11 what more do you want?? Excellent momento very much appreciated. Looking forward to next year, thanks again Swinton :o)

In short: Great friendly race
In full: Great race, not scenic but what town run is, although it did finish in a park. Friendly atmosphere espcially helped by the great marshalling who even had time to encourage us back runners. Family occasion with children handing out jelly babies and water. Excellent value for money. Will be back next year, especially as I got a PB

In short: Excellent race Swinton!
In full: Probably biased as I run for this great club and came home yesterday proudly clutching vouchers and wine, but I do think this race is superb. Ok, scenery not exactly stunning but a great atmosphere and supportive marshalls sure make up for it. Brilliantly organised and a bargain price compared to other half marathons. Well done Swinton!!

In short: Hard work but thoroughly enjoyable.
In full: Swinton running club did a fantastic job of organising this race. I found it very tough in places, possibly due to my lack of training over the last few weeks. But all in all it was a good run and it was great to run round my local area. And a great feeling to complete my second half marathon a minute faster than last the last one. Big thanks to Swinton running club. Hopefully see you next year.

In short: a great race, well organised, great momento, great marshals, goody bag. and all for around a tenner!
In full: What more could you want? Race started 3 mins late, not because of any problems but because fellow competitors were using the loo, src did the right thing. Most club organised events don't even supply portaloos preferring that we use peoples gardens! Long distance races like this are hard to put together with police and councils slow to offer support. There were over 55 people involved on the day, marshalling, putting together the finish organising entries etc and another 7 before the day. This is not part of a great run series at £25+ but a high quality local club race for around £10. my new mug will serve as a great reminder of a great day. I say congratulations swinton and thanks very much, a good day, see you next year.

In short: A very well run/organised event. I enjoyed the run although the course was a little barren in placess
