In short: Well organised but boring course
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed the race as my first half marathon and was pleased with my time considering the undulations! Course is a bit boring and I wouldn't recommend it as a first half marathon. Marshalls and other runners were really friendly. Momento a tad disappointing after all that effort!

In short: Flawless organisation mean this race deserves a larger field
In full: Running a half marathon on manchester area roads without police help should have been a recipe for disaster. But with superb organisation, friendly numerous marshalls Swinton Running club showed how it should be done. Flawless organisation and a nice route and finish mean this race should have way more entries than it does.
The lack of momento (only a pen) mean the only thing you'll have to show from this race is a memory of a well run race (and a pb for me!)

In short: Its a club race, but was made to feel welcome enough
In full: Well organised, well marshalled. Lots and lots of serious club runners, and not many of us slower types. Its not a bad area to run around, and was for a good cause. I got round a lot faster than I thought i would for my first half. That little bit of uphill in the park at mile 13 i could of done without!
