In short: This year was my fourth HBO10k and I have loved everyone. The course is flat and as it's a figure of 8 there is big support at the half way point. Chip timing this year to add to the appeal of an already top notch event. Superb.

In short: Lovely race - with water cooling not optional this year
In full: With the start 23 seconds further back (and the finish in the same place), does it mean this year was 6.27 miles, or previous years were 6.15 miles?

In short: First run here, but certainly not the last.
In full: The only thing that the organisers did not arrange properly was the weather, but even this did not stop it being an enjoyable event. Will be back to try and beat my PB again next year.

In short: Great Race
In full: Excellent course and accurate distance markers. Great feeling to run through the village packed with supporters. Some problems parking & getting away (from the Sausage factory) but solved efficiently. Rain and wind obviously didn't help and school was packed with people sheltering but a very good-natured event withgreat potential for a PB: I aim to be back.

In short: Another year, another great event!
In full: Despite the rain, which I don't mind, this was a well attended race again. I like the idea of the chip timing. I managed a very good time [for me] and I'll certainly be back next year.

In short: If there's a better 10K anywhere let me know!
In full: I went to this expecting a low key village race, but we got a well organised road race with a great atmosphere - it seems the whole village came out to watch. The course was a figure of eight which meant you ran through the village in the middle of the race as well as the beginning and end. One or two gentle inclines but real PB potential with a downhill finish and proper chip timing. Only the rain spoilt the day - thanks to the marshalls for braving the weather.

In short: Despite the weather, this was a really well organised race in a lovely rural location.
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed the race. Felt sorry for many who's cars were bogged down in the field car park - no sign of any help to get them out! Female change area seemed to be provided, but male was a mad "free for all" in amongst the general area for everyone. The micro chip timers worked really well and the results posted very quickly. I may be wrong, but there seemed to be about 1300 entered, but only 915 finishers. I guess the appalling weather had something to do with that!

In full: Shame about the weather - I thought the bloke was joking about the tree though. :)

In short: Great race, despite the cold and wind
In full: My birthday, and what better way to spend it than freezing to death on a rural 10k. This is a great race and, despite the whether, is good fun. A very fast course so that even middle age plodders like me can feel pretty speedy - especially with the glorious downhill finish.

In short: A good well organised event
In full: Despite the wind, wet and cold making it seem like mid February, this was still a good event. Well organised and marshalled (my thanks to all those who volunteered their time).
A good route which double backed through the village at the half way point. Some undulations, but no particularly steep hills.
The first race I've run where one of the potental hazards was a dangerous tree!
