In short: Disappointed that my time of 1hr 32 was not on the finishers list. Emailed club to state this and hey still haven't added my name or time! Hugely disappointed and leaves a bad taste!

In short: Very fast race well worth the money
In full: Its the first time i,ve done this run and loved it, i beat my P B by 6 mins which made my day. the course is just about as flat as your going to find anywhere so if its your first half marathon then this is the run for you.

In short: Well organised, very fast/flat race, definate PB potential.
In full: Glad I did this race this year rather than the Lincoln 10k.Good organisation, thank you to all the marshals who did a great job.
Only slight criticism ,would have liked a medal with the name of the race on it.
Will be back next year!

In short: I hate the chaser car
In full: I ran this race last year and enjoyed it much more then. I ran 3 minutes slower this year but was right at the back of the field (just coming back from an Injury) I wasn't ridiculously slow coming in at 2:30 but the chaser car followed me the whole way. I understand entirely that that Is its job but at times it was so close and when all you can hear is the drone of the engine following you it really is very demoralizing. It stopped every now and then to collect the mile markers and I felt so Much better about myself when it was gone but it was soon back. It Is a flat course so the car could have hung back a bit without any problems with being able to see me. I would also say that the Marshall's must have been bored when I got there as several of them didn't even acknowledge me which when you have been putting your all in to it is really quite upsetting.

In short: A flat, fast, one lap course on quiet roads through Lincolnshire farmland.
In full: Did my first half marathon last year at Bridlington and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to do another one. Found this one close to my home town of Boston and had to give it a go. It's a small local affair - had 169 runners on the day with many coming from local running clubs. The course was described as flat and fast and it turned out to be so - especially as it was also nice and cool with very little wind. I managed to knock a couple of minutes off my Bridlington time. It was well organised with friendly marshalls providing encouragement as well as directions. It was a cloudy morning so there were probably more water stations than needed, but better to have too many than too few. The results were up on the web by the evening - which considering it wasn't a chipped race was pretty good going. Only suggestions for improvement would be 1) bottle of beer from the local Batemans brewery for all senior finishers!; 2) a medal for finishers with the event named on it; 3) get a UKA race license as I want my new half marathon PB to be official. Well done Boston & District AC for putting on a great little event. I'll definitely be doing it again.

In short: Excellant quiet course, well organised, well done Boston & District AC
In full: A little gem in the flatlands of Lincolnshire. Plenty of parking, well laid out course. Only fault would be the positions of the water stations with the last one too near the finish. Definate PB potential so long as it does not get windy.

In short: Nice Rural run
In full: I really enjoyed this although only a small field it was a really nice flat course but not really any long boring straights and very well organised.

I was just a bit annoyed I had to shoot off so quickly afterwards as I had to get back for a mothersday meal. So missed out on picking up my first ever category trophy for third place in the mens senior section.
