In short: Hilly, hot and rural
In full: This was my first 20 miler, my longest distance to date, after 10 half marathons, in preperation for the Edinburgh Marathon (aaaaghhhh scared!!) I enjoyed it.

There was a hill about 9 miles? that was an absolute choker! it was really tough, and it didnt seem to get any less hilly for a fair few miles and with the weather being particularly good ...... or bad depending on how you look at it, it was hard!

However, the marshalls were superb, organisation was great without any frills, and the drink stops were plentiful. Its a funny race as I didnt really set any targets or have any real target as its a 20miler. Brill though and its a must as a build up to any marathon you plan to do.

In full: I enjoyed the trip over to South Cheshire last weekend and really enjoyed this race, very friendly and excellent facilities at the end of the race, needs supporting more and will encourage my club to add to their Grand Prix.

In short: Really well organised friendly run on a very scenic course. Plenty of ups and downs to mix up the pace.
In full: Fantastic event to enter for preperation for running the Edinburugh Marathon 4 weeks later.
The course is very scenic and is in places quite challenging, but this adds to the experience.
Excellent value for money and far better race than some of the far more expensive alternatives. Superbly organised with marks at every mile and very friendly and encouraging marshalls.

In short: Brilliant and very welcoming
In full: Why haven't I found this earlier. The course went through some gorgeous countryside - albeit hilly especially at 9 miles - what a brute- but satisfying. The organisation and friendliness was second to none. A must do race

In short: An excellent race especially as a marathon dress rehearsal
In full: Really well organised, plenty of water stops, great scenery and loads of really helpful marshalls. Sufficient undulations to make the course interesting but not too challenging. Definately worth a weekend away for and I will be back to do this again. Everyone was really friendly - I don't think I've ever had other competitors running along chatting to me during races before and I wasn't at the back! This certainly helped some of the miles tick by.

In short: Fairly tough 20 miler but good prep for a marathon
In full: Organisation and marshalling were very good.
Plenty of water stops.
It does get a bit lonely at times but thats what happens with a small field in a long race.
I'll be back next year hopefully

In short: Great value race with very tough hills and excellent marshalls
In full: Very testing course, undulating throughout with steep hills in the middle miles. Excellent marshalls handing out drinks and sweets, very well organised.
