In short: Very friendly race with challenging hills
In full: The race was excellently organised, the route was well marked, and marshalls made some helpful and encouraging comments. Although there were a lot of club runners, beginners were welcome, and the two lap format gave flexibility should you decide that once was enough! The water station was very handy. I really enjoyed this race.

In short: Proper Cross Country!
In full: In hindsight, a thoroughly enjoyable event. Whilst scaling up the final hill however, I may have thought differently!
This was a great race, with some excellent hills and great support throughout. Marshalling was superb - and needed to be, as the course took many twists and turns over the open fields. Definately one to look forward to for next year - shame it can't be incorporated into the league races - that would sort the men from the boys!

In short: Hilly, they sneak up on you!
In full: Great little race; friendly runners, organisers, marshals and on-lookers. I don't know why but the harder these things are the more fun they seem to be - top job! Will definitely be back next year.

In short: Challenging race; not a picnic in the scenic Welcombe Hills!
In full: This was my first competitive race and bit of a baptism of fire! As my first race, I only did the Trembler which is one circuit (5K). I'm local so had some idea what the hills were like but its different running up them! Really enjoyed it and chuffed not to be last on my first race! I'll be back.

In short: Tough but lovely scenery and views
In full: A really good race, well run; the marshalls were very encouraging.

The only criticism would be that on arrival at the Race HQ (a sports centre) we saw nothing to indicate that a race was actually taking place. We wondered if we had got the wrong place or the wrong day!

In short: Good race. Evil hills (in a good way!)
In full: Very enjoyable, the hills were evil, but in a good way, and the fact it was a 2 lap race, which meant you knew what delights were to be enjoyed in lap 2, added that little something!!!

Very relaxed organisation, with very supportive marshals.

Was a bit hard finding registration in the leisure centre mind, but after that fine.

Definitely one to do again next year, now I've a time to measure myself against.
