In short: Challenging hills but well worth it
In full: This was my first race this year, and those climbs reminded me of that.
Thought that the marshals were brilliant, the only annoying part was the start which was very crowded.
The long climbs were challenging but were definately worth it.
This is a good race to start the year off and will definately be back for more next year.

In short: Hard on the legs!
In full: This was my first 10k this time last year and I improved on my time by 5 mins but found those hills just as tough!! Well organised tho I got a bit trapped at the start as people filtered in from the side road - needs cordoning off maybe? Also the odd inconsiderate car pulling out in front of runners making them stop, but organisers can't help that. Overall a good challenging race!

In short: My 8th10k - found this one hard.
In full: Had run the circuit in training beforehand quite comfortably, but found it tough on the day. Although there were plenty of marshalls, traffic was a problem and caused the odd bottleneck when we were forced off the road. I also felt sorry for the lead runners as they had to find a way round the fun runners when lapping which can't have helped their times.

In short: Enjoyed this race lots. Friendly and low key though a few little grumbles re the congested start and the water station.
In full: I was told this one was "hilly" not true and lots of it was flat or down hill. sharp left hand turn was a bit of a bind, as was the traffic to contend with. Felt the water station was in the wrong place but the marshalls were great.
For a small event I found it to be well organised and friendly. Shame not many runners winning prizes bothered to attend the presentations! I'd do this one again.

In short: Great marshalling, challenging course, lots of enthusiastic support
In full: This was my second Dronfield 10K, and I'll definitely be back for a third!
The marshalling was excellent - there seemed to be almost as many marshalls as runners.
Lots of great support from locals and families and friends of other runners round the course and the encouragement on the last 400m made it particularly special.
The only minor niggle I had was having to queue to pick up race numbers. But that was only very minor and as value for money goes, this one was definitely worth it!
Next year, can we keep the same temperature but less wind please :)
