In short: Pretty Tough Race
In full: I knew it would be a hard race and it was. Quite difficult to stay on your feet though with lots of rocks, roots etc sticking out of the ground.
Nice to have an option of a pint or cup of tea and cake after the race included in the price of the race.

In short: 4th time back - Can't be that bad
In full: I'll just be repeating myself on the reviews from previous years. Better start point, Bottleneck was only for 200 yds if that. A ggod tough 10k ish. Recommend for 10k runners who fancy a change of terrain/scenery

In short: Great race that never fails to dissapoint
In full: Really well organised, the new start meant going off quick as not to get bogged down but that wasnt such a bad thing as it helped me shave 6mins off last year, super impressed that by the time i had gone to get a cuppa the results were already printed out on the table for finishers to date, really on the ball.
Always want to return just must remember to do more hill work :-)

In short: A great race but not for the feint harted ! need to keep your wits about you to stay upright
In full: Well its multi terrain after all ! I would advise trail shoes for this one.
Good organisation once again by Chepstow Revised start & finish was better making a traffic free run. The voucher for a pint or soft drink at the George was most welcome thanks to all concerned

In full: Some long, boring, soul-destroying bits at the beginning; nice cool run through woods; watch out for roots and rocks along the way, especially on the hills. For some reason I felt uninspired and probably won't do this race again.
Was actually 6.6 miles, not 6 as advertised.

In short: 3rd time & keep coming back
In full: As the other reviews. A slog followed by a tough but short climb. Be careful on the downhill and you will be fine. Although I managed a bit of a tumble....On the flat bit?!

In short: Mud, tree-roots and a never-ending hill. A challenging but fun race.
In full: My first running of the Trot. I'd heard a lot about it and it lived up to expectations. Well organised with friendly efficient marshals, and the Beer Ticket for all finishers meant a social atmosphere afterwards. One cautionary note: not a race for someone who doesn't like hills - both up and down!

In short: Proper multi-terrain race like your Gran used to make
In full: Hard climbs, hairy-chested descents, fast results, a runners race.

In short: First time enjoyed it all the way round what a great race !
In full: Will definately try to do this race again next year, fantastic atmosphere all round, great marshals well placed especially the one who had a welcome supply of wine gums, fantastic race! Get some hill work in and you should manage most of the inclines only one really steep section for about 100m.
Thanks to all concerned.
