In short: Charming race, great change from chacing road PBs
In full: Very friendly, well organised - hilly. I can see why so many people return year after year.

In short: Short 'n' 'ard
In full: A really good evening race that tests your ability to keep going! The hills are hard, but there are also some easier sections. Keep something in the tank for the last mile and a half though as the climb up to the trig point will wipe away those last reserves of energy. The final 1/2 mile back to the finish is mercifully downhill. Highly recommended!!

In short: It helps if you like hills
In full: This is one of the half-dozen races I pencil into my calendar in January. Cleeve Cloud (an area of Cleeve Hill near Cheltenham) is one of the glories of the Cotswolds, and in this race you see it as nature intended. Great field, great marshalling - all in all, a lovely run. Hard work, mind!

In short: Lovely hills, fab views, great race
In full: A lovely hilly trundle with a nice atmosphere. Good tracks and paths and well marshalled by mainly supportive smiley people. Kite surfers on top of hill a bit worrying, I thought they might go off course into us runners! Would have been good if the finish line was clearly marked and if girl handing out cups had maybe gone up to runners with a mug rather than hiding away to the side hoping she'd be spotted. Overall though, a nice race, I can't work out why the field is small as it's really a smashing little run. But hey, small and friendly is good too :) And speedy results. Any photos?

In short: Ups and downs on Cleeve Hill
In full: 2nd time ive run this - and went out a bit too fast, so 'blew up' after 3 miles! Could perhaps have been the stomach bug I had last week, or the 35 miles I did over sun/mon. Still its a great evening race, a lovely setting and a great course

In short: The hills are alive with the sound of grunting!
In full: There are those of you out there who have probably run tougher courses but for a newbie like me this was torture. A steep hill start (my car dosen't even do hill starts like that one) set the par for the course. Then a horrific downhill section, which made the Cheese Rolling look like child's play, followed by another major hill climb. If anyone didn't walk that bit then they're freaks! There was a lovely flat bit right on top but then another sheer face climb left not only my face blue but my language as well! Lovely scenery though and a special thanks to Cleeve Hill wardens who set up an impromptu water station half way round. The hardest and most fun I've had in ages.
