In short: Sorry but got bored
In full: Am fast coming to the conclusion that paying to run round a park is not for me - I get too bored... running down one side of the lake - only to see runners running along the opposite side knowing that I've got to go all the way round and back down again doesn't really inspire me - and great we get to do it twice!!!!

The big plus were the marshalls who were all friendly and inspiring - and the St Johns Ambulance crew who looked after my husband at the end, having completed his first 10k after about 2 months out with injury - by putting ice on his ankle.

But no, I won't be doing this next year. Was very surprised to hear the number of people raving about how scenic it was. Pleasant but there are so many runs in lovely countryside out there that I really wished I had gone to one of those instead.

In short: Very hot but plenty of support on the way round which was uplifting!
In full: Scenic laps, which was good for my husband spectating. Incredibly hot but reassuring that there were so many St Johns Ambulance staff around the course. Lovely medal. Was great finishing the last 2km of the course with a runner that despite not knowing her she ran the same speed as me and so we spurred each other on together through the heat!

In short: Superb organisation by Bexley AC , another well run event!
In full: I like this race but I think its harder than most people think! In the heat it was tough but my time in 2008 in the rain was only a little over a minute quicker. I just think its a beautiful course that has strength sapping qualities!

In short: Sooooo hot!
In full: This was my first run after 2 months out with various ligament problems. Managed to get around, nice course not too difficult but very crowded on the first lap going around the first few tight corners.

It was so hot and found myself having to walk for a short part - suffering from not having run more than 2 miles recently.

Marshals were excellent

Shame clock at finish wasn't working

Thanks to the St Johns Ambulance people who provided a nice cooling ice bag for me at the finish.

In short: Good course. First time doing this course. Maybe start it earlier like the Darent 10k
In full: It was very hot and reading reviews it was hot last year. Maybe start the race at 8.30/9.00am and if it is a scorcher it should be a bit cooler and also, it doesn't cut into your Sunday too much.

Good organisation, good location, good medal. Enjoyed it. Will be back, but will register on day (weather permitting this time!)

In short: good race-well done bexley a/c
In full: this is really more like a xc race than a road 10k so dont expect a PB. nice route though traffic free and well marshalled but an extra drinks station in hot weather would be a good idea! overall a good race.
