In short: Hilly but good!
In full: First half was hard with lots of hills. But last 2 miles mainly downhill.
T-shirt nice.
Bit of confusion over the fun run. I emailed in the week to ask about start time & distance, as nothing was listed. But when I got there they said it was just for kids & wouldn't issue me a number. But they didn't mind me running unofficially for a donation, & I even managed to scrounge a medal once all the kids got theirs!

In short: A good race with some challenging inclines and excellent views at times
In full: More or less flat for first mile; long gradual uphill to second mile; nice long downhill to third mile; steep ascent easing off to fourth mile. There are good views over Pendle and to the west around fourth mile (the highest part of the course) and from here on it's flat and downhill to the finish. Well-organised race as usual. Almost got a 10K PB here but not quite!

In short: I want my number back!
In full: I like this race a lot and I will continue to do it, not least because I got another PB for the course this year! I just think it was stupid to ask us to hand in our race numbers before we got our t-shirts at the end. I'm sure it's to stop people leaving with more than one, but they could just have looked at our numbers instead. I actually like to keep my number after a run and I regret trading it in now. Next year they can keep the t-shirt and I'll have my number, because the system was utterly daft and whoever thought of it clearly doesn't understand the first thing about the spirit of these runs.

In short: Well organised event, friendly, not what I would call flat, but still quick enough.
In full: Fast downhill start, but then a fairly long gradual climb for a mile or so, then flatish before a tough uphill climb at mile 3 for about a half mile, levels out a few times to give you short breathers. Then pretty much downhill to the finish.
Not sure about PB potential, but I did take a chunk off mine, so very pleased!
