In short: Fantastic well organised and friendly event
In full: Very friendly organisation and village atmo. locals very cheery and lots of kids, dogs and first timers in the 5 mile.
The run was hard work as I had a head cold and the route was a little more bumby that I thought it would be but a very enjoyable event. The best thing of all was the £3 entry fee so nice to feel your not being ripped off for a change we will be back.

In short: Fantastic friendly village race
In full: A lovely undulating course with water and sponge stations nearly every mile! An ideal race for first time runners with a family atmosphere. Lots of children running in the 5 mile fun run which was more popular than the 10 mile race. BBQ available afterwards on the village green and a certificate printed with your name and time upon completing the race. Very well organised and a bargain at £3.00. Will definitely be back next year, a favourite race of mine!!

In short: Top race!
In full: There was hardly any traffic on the course, the marshalls and the crowd gave lots of encouragement and there were plenty of water stations with a really fun atmosphere as well. Thank you Thornborough!

In short: Very Nice!
In full: Great village atmosphere and very well put together and marshalled. Really enjoyed the event and the lovely burger afterwoods! One bit of advice don't suck on the sponges lovely for getting cool but mine tasted of washing up liquid, not what you need after the big hills.

In short: Small but perfectly formed!
In full: Nice quiet run. Small field but lots of water stations and good mix of ability. Hotter than I bargained for but even though the hills were definitely steeper the second time around I do it again.

In short: Scenic route, some hills, well organised with lots of water!
In full: Great bargain at £3 for the fun run and £5 for the 10 mile run. Certificate at the end which was ready and waiting! Many sponge and drink stations, at least every mile. A local race but very well organised. Quite a lot of hills, pretty scenery. BBQ on the village green afterwards, warm running conditions. Lonely in parts but a crowd at the finish. The 10 milers set off first, the 5 milers in the fun run 20 mins later on. Good organisation, ideal for a first run. Parking wasn't easy if you didn't arrive early.
