In short: Well organised, great atmosphere and a great way to shift the post Christmas Day slump! Course was an out and back and the muddy and waterlogged tracks added to the fun. Date of review: December 28, 2012

In short: Muddy In full: Well organised and an enjoyable trail across muddy and soggy footpaths - which I enjoy. Worth getting upp for on Boxing Day and already looking forward to next year. Well done to the Organisers. Date of review: December 27, 2012

In short: Love this race. In full: Beer in the goodie bag much appreciated. Introduction of Red and Blue teams this year was a nice touch and added to the inclusive family atmosphere (as did the names on the running numbers). Hubby and I have done this two years in a row now and intend to keep it as part of our Christmas celebrations. Long may it continue! Date of review: December 27, 2012

In short: Fun for all the family! In full: My first Pirton BDR but not my last, I'd wager! Lovely atmosphere at the start. Course was not quite as muddy as I'd feared which was a bonus. Personally, I could happily live without chip timing: a race clock on the finish line would do just fine for me. Date of review: December 27, 2012

In short: 5th time of running it and will be back In full: Excellent organisation.Love this race .A few thoughts - If you keep the red/blue teams I think all runners should be included and also the names. My 16yr old ran main race but didnt have proper number or named number which was a shame. Also wonder if there would be opportunity to get numbers etc in advance as we were there by half ten to collect which meant my spectators were getting quite cold by time main race started and certainly by time I had finished! Car parking very well done.Loved the signs warning of quicksand!. Hot food refreshments would be welcome but logistics of this not easy I am sure. Thanks for a great race Date of review: December 27, 2012

In short: Can't think of anything better to do on boxing day. In full: Excellent race to do on Boxing day. The race conditions always make it a challenge but it's well worth it and it also forces me to watch what I eat and drink on Christmas day which is a nice bonus :) Date of review: December 26, 2012
