In short: Great start to the year - knocked 4 minutes of my PB.
In full: Good race with great weather this year - cold, crisp and sunny day made the run much more pleasant than last year. Great raffle and good prizes.

In short: Good kick start to the New Year
In full: As previously mentioned, the route certainly is not flat, was quite challenging on the hills which where a bit slippy with ice but what else do we expect at this time of year. Changing facilities were excellent and very clean. The start was a bit congested but overall there was a friendly atmosphere, and surroundings were pleasant.

In short: Great start to 2009. Cold, Cold, Cold!
In full: My first time at this event, enjoyed the course, a little slippy in places due to ice, and 3 short steep hills....it sure aint 'flat' anyway! Mostly set in the park and away from traffic which was good. Well organised, lots of brave marshalls standing in the -0C temperatures...big thanks to them for keeping cheering on.
Facilities at Garscube excellent...lots of changing areas, warm radiators to sit by (!), plenty of lockers, short walk to start / finish, hot showers. Really appreciated this as I went by bus to the event, so it was good to have somewhere warm to change and secure to leave clothes. Very easy to get to on public transport.
Will do this again....and hopefully it will not be -0C something....;))

In short: Much improved event
In full: Vast improvement in terms of organisation and route since 2005 , however having had a flu like virus for the last 6 weeks decided to use the event to try and sweat it out of me BIG mistake and evetually had to retire (first time ever). But credit where it is due this is turning into a really good event and seems to be getting more popular will definetly be taking part next year flu virus permitting.
