In short: Excellent new years detox
In full: My first 10k and I enjoyed it. Having seen the "flat" description was a bit surprised by the hills. An excellent way to keep Christmas and New Year overindulgence in check. Will be back in 2008

In short: Great post Christmas / New Year run. Fantastic goody bag and good organisation
In full: Great post Christmas / New Year run. Fantastic goody bag and good organisation
Good hills both up and down. Great crowd and good level of information.
Two things though that could improve - firstly, at about 9.5K there's a fork where at 5K you run to the right and at 9.5 K you run to the left (just after entering the science park) - it would have been good to have a marshall there to confirm which way was correct - I just hoped the guy in front knew the right way. Secondly - countdowns to the finish would helped. It's round a bend and so a "500m to go" and "250m to go" sign would have been really helpful. However, the race was well worth attending.

In short: Great post-Christmas timing. Nice route thru Science park. Friendly. Registration too far from race start.

In short: Great race although having the registration facilities over 1km from the start line in an obscure community hall unknown to local taxi drivers was a dubious decision. Great goody bag and I managed to set my PB

In short: Previously a tough five miler, now a tougher 10K
In full: This was the first time this was run as a 10K. the course was very hilly (mostly up) 2 long and 1 short lap. It was a pity about the issue with the campus not allowing use of the facilities as the registration was a 10+ minute run from the start. Excellent services at finish, fruit, water and a goody bag. i didn't get or see a towel but got a Saucony Tee shirt in mine.

In short: great race and I would run it every year.
In full: I run this race every year in my Clowns costumne and I would not miss at any year and I am always made welcome in fact I was No 1 runner thsis year I like the course even although I am always last but the organisers always wait for me and look forward to me running in the race, and I apprciate their concern for me as I am 65 years old and I raise money for charity every year and I always add a bit of colour to the race.

In full: Hard hilly 2 lap course. No facilities at start. Slight problem with cars when crossing road half way round lap. Enjoyed run as a start of the year race.
